This problem gives the name of osteofitose. Beaks of the parrot turns out to be the most common name among the population, since when this problem is present, it is observed on the x-ray small “hooks” that are the vertebrae and the bone spurs that seem to literally beaks of a parrot.

HOW TO APPEAR THE BEAKS OF A PARROT?
Between the bones on the ends that are articulated between themselves, there is a joint cartilage rich in connective tissue elastic. This cartilage is rich in synovial fluid, responsible for lubricating the joints thus facilitating our movements and allowing that we may have healthy joints and no wear.
However, with the passing of the years it is common for some people develop osteoarthritis, a disease that affects articular cartilage, creating a decrease of its formation, which leads to a deficit of collagen and the cartilage itself. As there are a wear of this, the end of the bones will eventually react, thus increasing bone outgrowths that when calcificam, have the name of the bone spurs. These osteophytes are the beaks of the parrot.
Whenever there is formation of osteophytes, there are also phenomena of joint inflammation, responsible for the episodes of pain and increase in volume of the joints.
THE MAIN CAUSES OF THE NOZZLES OF PARROT
Bad posture is the key word when we speak of the causes of the nozzles of the parrot. Due to aging and poor postures over the years, happen to these normal wear and tear on the intervertebral discs, which make the vertebrae to get closer, creating the bone spurs.
However, it can also be a result of various problems such as hernias, arthrosis, escolioses and cifoses or even autoimmune diseases.
Tends to happen mostly in people older than 45 years, in people with excess weight and who do not practice physical exercise. Heredity has a big weight in this disease also.
